Assessing students is difficult because each student has their own individual personality. Some students enjoy performance and other do not. However i feel it is necessary to assess a student's learning by performing it. I also think a great way is to teach other students, that way they are strengthening their skill and communication. I also believe students should take what they learned and adapt it to their world. Put the material in another song or other form in class.
